July 7th, 2007

Still here and grabbing a moment to catch up on everything. Dishwasher and dryer are running, so I'm doing my best to multi-task these days.  Still adjusting to having 2 and haven't been venturing out too much yet. We've been to Monkey Music (for Ailsa), the GPs, the shops, etc. Still pacing myself.

Anyone been watching Wimbledon? We thought about moving there before I hijacked our plans and started mentioning Kew (ended up being a better choice for us - we like being on the river and closer to Heathrow). We have started entering the yearly draw for tickets to Wimbledon matches. We didn't get any this year, so hopefully Paul will be able to go next year.

Ailsa has been really good and has appeared to enjoy Angus for the most part (tends to want to cuddle him a lot). She also pointed to her bath and said 'baby'...so I undressed Angus and put him in with her - I  let him 'sit' on her lap while I held him and she got a big kick out of that. So I have a feeling that will happen again...and again...and again.

Angus is really good and assuming he's been well fed during the day, appears to pretty much sleep through the night....though he does have his 'fussy time' from about 5-8ish...so sometimes Ailsa goes to bed later than ideal - once going to bed close to 10 pm. She's usually asleep from 6:30 to 6:30, though I've been tempted to make it a bit later to give me more time in the mornings before she gets up.

We've recently acquired a Phil and Ted's buggy to make it easier for me to get around London (walking everywhere / taking busses, etc). Basically Angus slides in the back (lying flat) and Ailsa has a slightly raised seat up front. When bigger, Angus will go up front and there will be a small space in the back for Ailsa for when she's tired from walking. It is a good design and quite popular among people with 2 young children here in London.

Paul's been on a few trips, but should start travelling more in the next few weeks. He was working from home in the early days, so he still has a lot of paternity leave left to take (just have to be sure that he takes it).

Ailsa is signed up for a gymnastics class from September - I spoke to a mum who said that her 2 year old twins love simply running across the 'bouncy' floor. I'll come up with enough activities to help keep her busy and not feeling left out.
