Taking Nell (Paul's parent's Jack Russell) out for a walk
Putting things 'Away'
Avoiding getting dressed (if possible)
Going to the playground / splashing in the water and sand table
She gone through phases of watching Boo!, In the Night Garden, Pablo the Fox, Pocoyo, Thomas and Friends (Thomas the Tank Engine), and Maisy (the mouse) so far this year.
Late 2006:
Going to playgroup with all of the toys
Walking next to mummy (rather than in the push chair)
Eating olives, pasta with pesto and blueberries
Getting picked up by her ankles or assisted in flipping over
Using markers, pens and pencils
Tidying up (yes, she points to any tiny spill to be mopped up...so I've started giver her a towel for doing that...and yes, she will put her dirty laundry into the hamper when I point to it)
Playing with dogs and cats
May 2006:
Having someone blow on her face
Getting to play with Aynika and the other kids in our 'play group'
Going to the 'city farm' by our house
Eating off her mum's plate
Favourite foods: scrambled eggs, artichoke hearts, rice, bread, salmon, smoked salmon
Late 2005:
Laying flat in a shallow bath and kicking to her heart's content.
Having mum read Jabberwocky, Shakespeare (as if she was an exuberant RSC actor) and other poetry.
Hearing her Uncle John burp (works to calm her down when she's fussy...but Paul says he's not allowed to do it anymore).
Getting to 'fly' around the room.
Looking up at the leaves from her pram.
The wind in her face.
Daddy singing to me in French.
Watching mummy have her breakfast (complete with sound effects and yum yum noises to entertain).
Laying on mummy's tummy and looking down at her.
Watching mummy and daddy dance / Seeing mummy dance while making dinner...to stuff like Rosemary Clooney, The Girl from Ipanema (Stan Getz), les Yeux Ouverts (the Beautiful South version), the Beatles, Duran Duran, Herbie Hancock, Madness, Brave Combo, Dave Brubeck, Suzanne Vega, Women of the World: Celtic (Putumayo label), REM, the Chieftains, Au Clair de la Lune, etc....
Mid 2006:
Eating the Damson Jam off her bread.
Grapes Grapes and more Grapes (cherries also good)
Satsumas (seedless easy to peel oranges)
The 2 puppies (golden and black) that Paul brought home from New York for her birthday.
Feeding the ducks (at Kew Gardens, the pond at Kew Green or the ducks that live between us and the shops)
Walking on her own (bless)
Petting a cat or dog
Looking at her favourite books (Dear Zoo, Panda in the Park, and a couple of the French books I picked up in Paris)
Playing with her Ball Popper
